 · I switched from DSLR system to a 2-camera system - Sony RX100 and Sony RX1. RX1 is basically in the same category as Fuji X100S, because they both have 35mm equiv fixed lens (RX1 is FF sensor, Fuji is APS-C). For street photography I use RX1, for all others I use RX100 (and sometimes use RX100 for street, too).
Sony RX100 III's zoom lens provides a great flexibility compared to Fujifilm X100S's 35mm fixed focal length lens. On the other hand, X100S's prime lens makes it a specialized camera. You compromise the flexibility of a zoom in order to enjoy the high image quality and unique rendering of this fast lens.

The RX100 1/2/3 is pretty much a class of its own. No real competition. Not from Fuji, anyway, as the X10/20/30 is at least a class below this camera, while X100/Nikon A/Ricoh GR are very different beasts altogether. I faintly remember that there was a time when Fuji considered entering the 1" compact segment, actually with this very Sony sensor.
